MARCH AGENDA

This month’s meeting on Tuesday, March 7 at 8 p.m. at the Palisades Rec Center will focus on education in the Palisades and in DC.
Dolores Martin, principal of our own Key Elementary, will fill us in on the educational program at Key.
Joining Mrs. Martin will be architects from the office of Einhorn, Yaffee, Prescott, the architecture firm that is designing the renovation and expansion of Key. There will be time for Q & A on these local issues, and then Doug Ormerod will brief us all on the city-wide issues of the school board and charter schools.
In addition to the presentation on education, two important resolutions, one on the Field School and another on the proposed W Street traffic light will be presented for membership vote.
The emphasis of the general meeting is on public education, but we are fortunate to have a number of fine private schools in our midst.
To give us all as much exposure as possible to allthe educational opportunities within the Palisades, the general meeting will be preceded by an educational ‘fair’ from 7 to 8 p.m.
Representatives from a number of local schools will be at the recreation center to discuss their school’s programs with any who are interested. Please stop by early to find out more about education in the Palisades! You’re bound to learn something new!
