CRIME WATCH
March
24, 2000 -- There were 28 crimes reported in the Palisades for
the month of February: one case of adult sexual abuse, one assault,
one burglary and one burglary attempt, five thefts, six thefts
from automobiles, four stolen autos, two auto theft attempts,
and seven cases of destruction of property.
The adult sexual abuse case occurred in a house in the 5100 block
of MacArthur Boulevard. The assault case took place in the 5000
block of Loughboro Road on the street at a little past midnight
on February 7.
There was a burglary at a house in the 2200 block of 49th Street,
and the attempted burglary of a house occurred in the 5200 block
of Partridge Lane.
Thefts occurred from a yard in the 4800 block of Loughboro Road,
from a church in the 5400 block of Sherier Place, from a private
office in the 5100 block of MacArthur Boulevard, and there were
two incidents of theft from the hospital in the 5200 Block of
Loughboro Road.
Thefts from an automobile took place in the 5500 block of Sherier
Place, the 5100 block of Klingle Street, the 4500 block of Indian
Rock Terrace, the 4800 block of Reservoir Road, the 4800 block
of MacArthur Boulevard, the 4600 block of Greene Place, and the
4600 block of Clark Place.
One case of auto theft took place in the 5000 block of Weaver
Terrace, one in the 4500 block of MacArthur Boulevard, one in
the 4500 block of Klingle Street, and one in the 4900 block of
W Street. Attempted thefts of an auto took occurred in the 4500
block of MacArthur Boulevard and in the 4300 block of Hawthorne
Street.
A destruction of property case was reported in the 4600 block
of Reservoir Road, and in the 5100 block of MacArthur Boulevard.
These two cases incurred more than $200 in damages. Five other
cases of destruction of property with less than $200 in damages
occurred in the 4700 block of Reservoir Road, the 4500 block of
Hawthorne Street, the 4600 and 4800 blocks of Reservoir Road,
and the 5700 block of MacArthur Boulevard.
