Crime Watch by Eliot Marshall
June, 2000 -- Crime continued to decline in our area this spring, as in other
areas of the city. PSA recorded 52% fewer crimesin the Palisades last month
as compared to April a year ago.

Park Clean-Up
June, 2000 -- On Saturday, May 6, over 25 residents of the Palisades neighborhood
helped make the neighborhood a better place by participating at a clean up
day at Carolina Park, located at the intersection of Carolina and Macomb.

Echo Park to Benefit from New Photo History
May 15, 2000 -- Two area historians and supporters have teamed up to create
a 113-page history of the nearby arts facility entitled, Glen Echo Park: A
Story of Survival.

June, 2000 -- The state of public transportation in the Palisades area has been
the cause of great concern among bus riders.

Dolan: The Path to Patagonia by Penny McGinn with Frances McFall
June, 2000 -- Discovery Channel's "Eco-Challenge" aired in April in two parts,
two hours each, in prime time. The show covered the fourth in a series of adventure
races sponsored by that station.
Palisader Mike Dolan drew the credit as "Senior Writer." How that came about
