PCA HAS AN EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT: HOORAY!

June, 2000 -- The Palisades Citizens Association has just hired its first ever executive assistant. She is Anne Ourand, a Palisades resident.
A 1989 Xavier University magna cum laude graduate, she has a background of helping people--first in emergency family assistance in Montana, then enforcing court-ordered child support in Cleveland.
She held a prominent job with So Others Might Eat, Inc. (SOME) in DC five years ago, before going to London where she was the volunteer services coordinator for the Hackney Volunteer Bureau.
Anne and her husband's 10-month-old, John Leo, was born on July 4--many fine parades ahead of him. The PCA feels very fortunate to welcome Anne to the job.
Some of the executive assistant's duties will be: to schedule and attend general and board meetings, taking minutes; schedule Business meetings; work on the agenda; make arrangements for meetings, following up with letters; collect PCA mail; answer inquiries; work with committees on the July 4 parade and the Palisades Community Fund; work on membership; and post notices on the website and kiosk. So, future PCA presidents will find the job just as filling as ever, but not nearly so time-consuming.
