Annual Events

The PCA organizes a number of community events each year. These events are a great way to meet new neighbors in a social and fun setting.

Annual Easter Egg Hunt and Potluck Breakfast

Easter Egg HuntNeighbors gather bright and early on a Saturday morning at the Palisades Rec Center. Children decorate bags, hunt for eggs and play egg related relay races while parents chit chat over potluck breakfast items and live music. Usually held the weekend before Easter.

July 4 Parade and Picnic

Since 1966, the PCA has organized this ever popular event! It's always held on July 4th itself starting at 11:00am on Whitehaven Parkway. This year marks the 50th parade! The parade ends at the Palisades Rec Center where there is a free picnic for all including hot dogs, watermelon, moon bounces and live music!

Annual Family Night at the Fire Station

Fire StationEvery October the fire fighters at Engine 29 open up their station to the community. They cook award-winning BBQ and the neighbors bring side dishes and desserts. Crafts, cookie decorating and coloring keep the children busy -- along with climbing on the trucks!. The Lab School organizes a haunted forest walk for all to enjoy.
